In between sicknesses, urgent care visits, work travel, and potty training, here is issue No. 11. It is true that marketers never really sleep and this issue is a testament to that. We keep going. We keep coming up with crazy ideas. And we keep dreaming. We keep building stories and supporting our communities.
Here is the best part: We are just getting started.

That’s how many subscribers Netflix has as of their last public filing. They had slower growth in the United States than they had projected but their margins are as strong as they have ever been.
And this is all on account of their streaming accounting for just 7 percent (yeah, SEVEN!) of all television viewing in June 2021. YouTube was in second with 6 percent. Surprisingly, even after a COVID-inspired renaissance for streaming, broadcast televisions remains the king of the airwaves.
But the question is still not if, but when, streaming wins. Much like the music wars of the early 2000s, the streaming wars will be the ‘20s. Who wins and who loses is irrelevant today because the fact is, the tide is shifting. Keep your eyes on the horizon.
Did You Hear?
It was announced last week that the Academy of Country Music Awards would be moving from it’s long-held position on network television and to Amazon Prime Video. This is the first time Amazon will exclusively air an awards show.
