It comes as no surprise that the use of virtual events increased over the last two years as a marketing strategy. And while it remains to be seen how these events evolve in a post-COVID world, virtual events brought in the best business results over the past year.
According to research from Contently, 58% of companies said that virtual events produced the best results of any marketing strategy for B2B companies.

This isn’t marketing-related. But it’s human. And as you think about how to make impact in your work and in your life, this is a good lesson to keep close to your heart.
Something to Consider
About a month ago, Facebook announced a re-brand and future-focus on the Metaverse; and as such, changed their name to Meta. I have spent the last 30 days researching this space and have even included a bit more thoughts on how the metaverse may come into play in your worlds.
As a part of their launch, Meta put out a video about what they dream the future to be.
The team behind Iceland tourism saw it and were inspired. They mocked the idea of the digital world by leaning into their real experience. (For real, go give this a watch.)
Finally, The Verge put out a story about haptic gloves that let you “feel” digital objects.
So, why all this continued talk about the Metaverse in this Analog Marketing Newsletter?
Because you likely have something real to share with your customers. Do it. Share it. Make it real. Ensure they can experience it. Let them smell it. Sense it.
